Holiday Inn Nürnberg City Centre, an IHG Hotel

We arrived by car, there is a loading zone, so my husband stayed while I checked in. The parking garage is pretty narrow, we were nervous our SUV would scrape going in & out of the garage. The height is 1.8M, decently priced. We traveled with our small dog, small fee. We were upgraded, which was such a nice surprise! The apartment was spacious, we were in a different building- accessible by the main hotel and parking garage. Not far from the main area, we opted for no breakfast as we knew we'd get up and head out. Staff were all very friendly!

The room was cosy, clean and quiet, there was also a table, a chair, and a comfortable armchair.

Hotel staff were among the friendliest I've come across. Reception was good about getting the check-in done efficiently. No fuss and a real priority to get you settled quickly. Restaurant staff were friendly and welcoming. Restaurant is a good choice for at least one evening if you plan to stay in town for a few days. I didn't try the breakfast this time. Hotel is central enough in that it is within the old city fortification walls and a short walk gets you to the busier parts of the town. On arrival at the main train station, the hotel itself is a little walk away. There is a bus and U-bahn that can get you close to it, but it's literally one or two stops. I walked from train station and didn't find it inconvenient. It's fairly straightforward, but it will take about 10 minutes depending on your pace of walking. Plenty of taxis just outside train station also if you arrive late in evening. Room was clean and comfortable. I rested well each of the nights I stayed and there was no outside noise to disturb sleep.

People are very nice and helpful, rooms are comfortable and quiet. Liked the rooftop city view from my place. Can't say much about breakfast as I haven't tried it.

extremely efficient check in, fantastic room with everything we needed and extremely quiet. Easy to walk everywhere in town and great parking garage. unknown to us it was a music festival weekend and we were amazed we got such a good deal at the hotel as it was really busy. Finally the breakfast buffet was brilliant with extremely efficient staff keeping every well stocked and a chef cooking eggs and omelettes.
